BETTER GOALS, BRIGHTER FUTURES

It can be difficult to dream of obtaining a better career or attending college when you are a low-income parent, have a mental or physical health diagnosis, and other barriers. Often, people with low-incomes don’t pursue better careers due to lack of encouragement and support. TCC’s Career Connections Program provides opportunities to make these dreams become a reality.

After assessing strengths and skills, TCC Advocates help clients pursue living wage careers with a personalized plan that supports getting promoted, going to college, or starting their own business. Through long-term guidance and support of TCC Advocates, clients learn to set better personal and family goals that lead to brighter futures.

THE HARD NUMBERS

Poverty can create multiple barriers for residents such as: access to healthy foods, access to care, educational opportunities, and neighborhood safety. -Washington County Community Health Assessment 2019
